Cognitive Psy: Fndtl Sec 001
This course is an introduction to human cognitive psychology. It is concerned with how the human mind
processes, represents and uses knowledge. Lectures focus on fundamental theories, concepts, and empirical
findings in the field of cognitive psychology. Topics covered include attention, memory, concept representation,
language comprehension and production, problem solving, reasoning, and decision-making. Grade is based on the total of 4 exams. You will have the option to replace your lowest exam grade with the grade you earn on an optional cumulative final exam. Attendance-based and other extra credit will be given.
