Albert Kahn and the Soviet Union
Detroit history frequently intersects with Soviet history. The Polar Bears who fought in Northern Russian during WWI were mainly from the Detroit area. Soviet poet Mayakovsky visited Detroit (to see the Ford factory). Many Ford employees went to the Soviet Union to work on the Ford automotive factory in the city of Nizhny Novgorod (aka Gorky). And Detroit architect Albert Kahn also contributed to industrialization in the Soviet Union: https://detroit.curbed.com/2019/12/13/21012559/albert-kahn-russia-ussr-detroit-world-war-ii?fbclid=IwAR1o-EaoQsP8Zypnx5QCqVj7toSUftM8RctLc7dOxCBwQj2gN-e1iiu7jm4 Links to an external site.
