STUDENTS: Introduction to Canvas

 The Student Training Demo Course is designed to help Wayne State University (WSU) students become familiar with our learning management system (LMS), Instructure Canvas.  All students are encouraged to enroll in order to become familiar with the various tools and technologies used in the LMS.  Students may encounter Canvas in traditional, online, blended and hybrid courses taught across the various schools and colleges.  This course contains the following modules, which provide an introduction to various tools found in the LMS:

MODULE 1: Getting Started Using Canvas at Wayne State University - An overview of the learning management system and how it may be used in WSU classrooms. This module also reviews Canvas' mobile applications.  Detailed instructions are also contained within for using Canvas on your mobile device(s).

MODULE 2:  Participating in a Course using Canvas Tools - There are many Canvas tools that instructors may use in their courses.  This module reviews Participation Skills, Discussion Board tools, Assignments & Quiz tools and how to check your Grade.  

MODULE 3: Using University Supported LTIs - Canvas provides our university with the ability to integrate many new and emerging web-based resources into our LMS.   This module reviews Office365, LockDown Browser and Badgr - Badges and Tutoring Services.
